Twisted Myrtle - Myrtus communis 'Boetica'

The Twisted Myrtle (Myrtus communis 'Boetica') is a spreading broadleaf evergreen shrub ideal for a naturalized look in the garden. This plant has a very loose and flowing shape with prolific flowers and berries. It is realtated to the Eucalyptus and the leaves have the same smell. This plant does require irrigation in arid climates, but it is probably worth the water. The native species is most common in production.
