Heavenly Bamboo - Nandina domestica

The Heavenly Bamboo (Nandina domestica) is a broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This plant has nice green foliage in summer with showy flowers early and berries in fall. The leaves often turn bright red in winter. The species has become invasive in AL, FL, GA, LA, MS, NC, SC, TX, and VA. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
