Devil's Walking Stick - Oplopanax horridus

The Devil's Walking Stick (Oplopanax horridus) is a deciduous thicket forming shrub native to the Western and Northern United States. This species has nice big leaves and is able to thrive in shade. It makes a nice barrier for traffic in the landscape. This is one of the nastiest, thorniest plants you will ever meet. It is also starting to naturalize outside of it's native range. The native species is most common in production.
