Bunny-Ears Prickly-Pear - Opuntia microdasys

The Bunny-Ears Prickly-Pear (Opuntia microdasys) is a groundcovering cactus for landscapes and gardens. This is a much more compact Prickly Pear than Englemanns'and has much nicer pure yellow flower. This plant can be invasive and has naturalized in AZ. The native species is most common in production. This plant is commonly referred to as a cactus, but due to the "Woody" parts is technically a succulent.
