Mexican Fence Post - Pachycereus marginatus

The Mexican Fence Post (Pachycereus marginatus) is a medium sized columnar cactus for arid landscapes and garden. This plant can clump but each pillar is vary narrow, often under 1 feet in diameter. In Mexico people often plant them side by side to form living fences. This plant does have spines, but that does make for a better fence. The native species is most common in production.
