Khajuri Palm - Phoenix zeylanica

The Khajuri Palm (Phoenix zeylanica) is a large broadleaf evergreen palm tree for warm climate landscapes and gardens. This is one of the smaller Date Palms, it can still grow into the 100 foot bean pole if left alone. It still has all the same great attributes of Pheonix, but is more suited for allowing to clump in a naturalized border than a formal landscape or garden. This plant have the typical palm pricklies and dead leaves that need to be removed to keep a clean appearance, but it is worth it. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
