Aureovariegata Black Spruce - Picea mariana 'Aureovariegata'
The Aureovariegata Black Spruce (Picea mariana 'Aureovariegata') is a medium sized evergreen tree ideal for landscapes. The yellow new growth adds color to landscapes. The habit is very symmetrical, compact and slow growing which makes it ideal for use in landscapes. This plant has no negatives of note. There is some controversy as to the nomenclature of this species. Some people believe this is really a Picea glauca 'Aurea'.
