The Sitka Spruce (Picea sitchensis) is a large upright pyramidal evergreen found along the West Coast used for landscapes and naturalizing. The more irregular habit and tolerance of sea salt makes this a good forestry tree in coastal areas. The irregular habit can look rough in the landscape. This plant is also being attacked by adelgids in certain areas. There are more varieties of this species in production but they are losing steam due to the adelgid issues.
