Whitebark Pine - Pinus albicaulis

The Whitebark Pine (Pinus albicaulis) is an irregular shaped native pine found in upper elevations along the west coast that is also good for landscapes and gardens. The shape and coloration can make this a good native substitution for Japanese White Pine. This species can be very sensitive to disease and insects in locations with warmer winters. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
