Jack Pine - Pinus banksiana

The Jack Pine (Pinus banksiana) is The northern most pine native to the United States most commonly found in forestry. This native species easily reseeds. It is said to be northern, but I have found it in forests of south Missouri, and the Southern Appalachians. This species reseeds easily and can take over cleared forests and fields. The native species is most common in production.
