Shore Pine - Pinus contorta var. contorta

The Shore Pine (Pinus contorta var. contorta) is an upright pine found native to the mountains of the West Coast. This species grows in both peat bogs and dry sandy locations making it very versatile. In the Rockies it is grown for timber. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
