The Chief Joseph Lodgepole Pine (Pinus contorta var. latifolia 'Chief Joseph') is a small slow growing conifer ideal for gardens and landscapes. This plant grows only 6-8" per year and takes on a bright golden color in winter. This plant has no negatives of note. This plant is a cultivated variety of Pinus contorta var. latifolia. Cone needle and branch photos from the parent species were included for identification purposes.
