Jerusalem Pine - Pinus halepensis

The Jerusalem Pine (Pinus halepensis) is a tall canopy producing tree native to the Mediterranean and gaining popularity in the Southwest. The barren trunk makes this a pine that can actually be used for a street tree. Personally I think it looks like that lone tree left when the developers bulldoze a forest. The native species is most common in production.
