Maritime Pine - Pinus pinaster  

The Maritime Pine (Pinus pinaster) is a large upright conifer used in non-native forestation projects along coastlines. This plant is also used to make turpentine. This plant is very fast growing and salt or sea spray tolerant. The needles have a very prickly tip. The native species is most common in production.
