Eastern White Pine - Pinus strobus

The Eastern White Pine (Pinus strobus) is a medium sized to large native conifer used in landscapes, gardens, forestry, and for lumber. This is probably the most versatile and planted coniferous species in the United States. Can you say "Pine Tar"? Strobus in Latin does not mean "white". It means "exudes sap". There are numerous cultivars of this species in production.
