Columnar White Pine - Pinus strobus 'Fastigiata'

The Columnar White Pine (Pinus strobus 'Fastigiata') is a medium sized to large columnar conifer used in landscapes and gardens ideal for screening. The columnar habit makes this plant suitable for tight spaces, foundations and screens. Young trees need tip pruned to prevent ice and snow damage. This is exasperated with shade. This is a cultivated variety of Pinus strobus. Needle, cone and bark photos are from the parent species for identification purposes.
