Japanese Black Pine - Pinus thunbergii

The Japanese Black Pine (Pinus thunbergii) is a medium sized coniferous tree used in landscapes and gardens. It is often found on commercial sites for screening. This species tolerates draught as well as wet conditions making it a versatile reliable plant. This plant can shed needles throughout the year making it look sickly at times. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
