Fish Poison Tree - Piscidia mollis

The Fish Poison Tree (Piscidia mollis) is a small flowering understory tree ideal for warm climate gardens where it can be contained. This plant has a nice soft texture and fragrant attractive flowers to tuck in a courtyard. It should not be used anywhere the seeds can easily escape into natural areas. This species can become invasive and has been known to naturalize in Florida where the native Piscidia piscipula resides. The native species is most common in production.
