Variegated Mexican Bamboo - Polygonum cuspidatum 'Variegata'

The Variegated Mexican Bamboo (Polygonum cuspidatum 'Variegata') is a noxious invasive weed that should never planted and eradicated whenever possible. This plant looks like bamboo in winter but leafs out like a broadleaf in summer. Is considered to be one of the most invasive weeds throughout the United States and even into Canada. This is a cultivated variation of Polygonum cuspidatum. Seed and flower photos are from the parent species.
