White Bark Cottonwood - Populus brandegeei

The White Bark Cottonwood (Populus brandegeei) is a medium sized shade tree for landscapes and gardens. This tree is both drought and water tolerant, fast growing, and has beautiful white, bark. It is also polution tolerant making it good for urban use. The leaves are host to dozens of potential insects, but it does not seem to threaten the plant. The native species is most common in production.
