Phoenix Hybrid Mesquite - Proposis X 'Phoenix'
The Phoenix Hybrid Mesquite (Proposis X 'Phoenix') is a medium sized fast growing tree for landscapes and gardens. This is a "Thornless" grafted hybrid of the genus created to form a slower growing conopy on a sturdier root stock. On some occaisions it has been know to produce thorns, but nothing like the species. This plant drops lots of litter, but are virtually bulletproof. This plant exists only in cultivation.
