Wild Plum - Prunus americana

The Wild Plum (Prunus americana) is a medium sized fruit bearing tree native to a large portion of the United States. The native plum is smaller than those produced for sale, but is highly coveted for jams and jellies. The flowers are a little stinky. This plant is hard to find in production but is often used as a cross or root stock for others.
