Thundercloud Flowering Plum - Prunus cerasifera 'Thundercloud'
The Thundercloud Flowering Plum (Prunus cerasifera 'Thundercloud') is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant is grown for the burgundy foliage and delicate flower in spring. It produces a very small berry similar to the wild cherry. Flowering cherries are prone to winter kill from late freezes. Winter water is the best prevention. This is a cultivated variety of Prunus cerasifera.
