Bitter Cherry - Prunus emarginata

The Bitter Cherry (Prunus emarginata) is a small to medium sized naturalizing and thicket forming tree. This plant is rarely planted other than as liners for natural restoration. This is the most common Cherry in the Western United States. This plant needs to be able to spread by both root and seed. The native species is most common in production.
