First Lady Flowering Cherry - Prunus 'First Lady'
The First Lady Flowering Cherry (Prunus 'First Lady') is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This variety has a deeper pink flower and larger habit than most Flowering Cherries. Flowering cherries are prone to winter kill from late freezes. Winter water is the best prevention. This is a cultivated hybrid of Prunus 'Okame' x Prunus campanulate.
