Mt. Vernon Cherry Laurel - Prunus laurocerasus 'Mt. Vernon'

The Mt. Vernon Cherry Laurel (Prunus laurocerasus 'Mt. Vernon') is a small to medium sized broadleaf evergreen shrub for gardens and landscapes. This is the smallest of the spreading varieties and is easily contained with pruning. The leaves can get 'Shot Hole' (fungus), but it seams to pass with the flush of new growth. This is a cultivated variety of Prunus laurocerasus. The berry and flower photos are taken from parent species for identification purposes.
