Pin Cherry - Prunus pensylvanica

The Pin Cherry (Prunus pensylvanica) is a large flowering tree found throughout North America. This plant is often seen blooming in the woods for a very short time. It is mostly found growing somewhat like a weed but often used for lumber. The berries are prolific and extremely poisonous to humans, but loved by birds. The native species is most common in production.
