Royal Burgundy Flowering Cherry - Prunus serrulata 'Royal Burgundy'

The Royal Burgundy Flowering Cherry (Prunus serrulata 'Royal Burgundy') is a small to medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This variety is fruitless. The pink flowers, burgundy foliage, and solid red fall color make this a little more of a stand alone specimen than the other varieties of the species. The grafted form can make the trunk age less gracefully than others. This variety is often considered a subspecies of 'Kwanzan'.
