Fall Flowering Higan Cherry - Prunus subhirtella var. autumnalis

The Fall Flowering Higan Cherry (Prunus subhirtella var. autumnalis) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This fruitless variety is sought after for the fall bloom after the leaves drop. This plant never blooms full force. Just a few buds at a time open when it is warm enough. This variety is actually a native subspecies to Japan.
