Tai Haku Flowering Cherry - Prunus 'Tai Haku'

The Tai Haku Flowering Cherry (Prunus 'Tai Haku') is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. This variety is fruitless. The flowers start with a pink stamen that turns pure white as it opens. It also has a much wider habit than most flowering cherries. Flowering cherries are prone to winter kill from late freezes. Winter water is the best prevention. This is a cultivated variety of Prunus subhirtella.
