Western Sand Cherry - Prunus X blireana

The Western Sand Cherry (Prunus X blireana) is a medium sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. The foliage of this tree emerges burgundy and turns to green at maturity is a deep pink and has double blossoms. This is a very short lived tree and rare exceeds 30 years of age. This cultivar is a cross between Prunus cerasifera 'Atropurpurea' and Prunus mume.
