Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir - Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca

The Rocky Mountain Douglas Fir (Pseudotsuga menziesii var. glauca) is a large coniferous evergreen for landscapes and gardens that is native to the Rocky Mountains. The color is very similar to a grafted Blue Spruce, but the habit is classic Douglas Fir. This variety is more tolerant of cold and dry climates than the species. The habit is not as full as other Douglas Fir. This is a naturally occurring cultivated variety of Pseudotsuga menziesii.
