Brandford Pear - Pyrus calleryana 'Brandford'
The Brandford Pear (Pyrus calleryana 'Brandford') is a medium to large sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. Bradford is the largest and most damage prone of the Callery Pears. Most Pears are prone to wind and ice damage and fall apart about the time they look good. They are also extremely invasive and are becoming a serious environmental threat in the Southeast. This plant is a cultivated variety of Pyrus calleryana. Photos from the parent and other varieties of the species will aid in identification.
