Callery Pear - Pyrus calleryana

The Callery Pear (Pyrus calleryana) is a medium to large sized flowering tree for landscapes and gardens. The flower, habit, and fall color are all great on this plant, and there are several varieties of this plant to choose shapes from. Most Pears are prone to wind and ice damage and fall apart about the time they look good. They are also extremely invasive and are becoming a serious environmental threat in the Southeast. There are numerous cultivars of this species in production.
