The Canyon Live Oak (Quercus chrysolepsis) is a large broadleaf evergreen shade tree native the Southwest. This is a very drought tolerant evergreen tree. New leaves emerge serrated before rounding out, and the acorn takes two full years to develop. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
