Leather Oak - Quercus durata 

The Leather Oak (Quercus durata) is a large broadleaf evergreen shrub or tree native the Southwest. This is a very drought tolerant evergreen shrub. The new leaves emerge serrated before rounding out and it is ideal for a naturalized evergreen. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
