Dwarf Chinquapin Oak - Quercus prinoides

The Dwarf Chinquapin Oak (Quercus prinoides) is a large deciduous shrub naturalized throughout the Eastern United States. This is a thicket forming plant Ideal for naturalizing and restoration projects. This plant likes to spread and is not very suitable for manicured gardens. This plant is often mistaken for Quercus muhlenbergii, but has definite genetic differences as well as habit and size differences.
