Deer Oak - Quercus salderiana

The Deer Oak (Quercus salderiana) is a small tree or medium sized shrub native to the Pacific Northwest. This tree is mainly planted in natural and wildlife restoration projects. The broadleaf evergreen leaf provides habitat and fodder for deer. This plant likes to spread and is not very suitable for manicured gardens. The native species is most common in production.
