Southern Live Oak - Quercus virginiana

The Southern Live Oak (Quercus virginiana) is I large broadleaf evergreen shade tree native to the Southeastern United States. This is the plant that made me first fall in love with the South. Often draped in Spanish Moss and coated in ferns and lichens, the branches can reach out 20 to 30 feet in any direction draping all the way to the ground. This plant has no negatives of note. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
