Catawba Rhododendron - Rhododendron catawbiense
The Catawba Rhododendron (Rhododendron catawbiense) is a small to medium sized broadleaf evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens, and naturalizing. This species is a pink mid to late season bloomer that is tolerant of high elevations and sun. It is always best to make sure Rhododendron are well watered going into hard freezes. The native species is most common in production.
