Girard's Purple Azalea - Rhododendron 'Girard's Purple'

The Girard's Purple Azalea (Rhododendron 'Girard's Purple') is a small flowering broadleaf evergreen shrub for gardens and landscapes. This variety has deep pink to purple flowers in mid spring, a nice compact habit, and the new foliage is almost yellow, but turns deep green by summer. The compact habit makes some Azaleas very prone to spider mites. This plant is a cultivated variety of Rhododendron.
