Roseshell Azalea - Rhododendron prinophyllum 

The Roseshell Azalea (Rhododendron prinophyllum) is a small to medium sized deciduous shrub for gardens, landscapes, and naturalizing that is native to the Appalachian and Ozark mountains. This species is commonly found on forest edges and roadsides as it likes a little light. It is kind of spindly but graceful tucked into a landscape. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
