Rubiginosum Rhododendron - Rhododendron rubiginosum
The Rubiginosum Rhododendron (Rhododendron rubiginosum) is a large broadleaf evergreen shrub or small tree for landscapes and gardens. This is one of the larger species with a slightly smaller flower cluster than other Rhododendron. It is always best to make sure Rhododendron are well watered going into hard freezes. The native species is most common in production.
