Royal Azalea - Rhododendron schlippenbachii
The Royal Azalea (Rhododendron schlippenbachii) is a medium to large deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes and gardens. This species looks similar to some of the native woodland Azaleas, but is much more dense and tolerant of heavy pruning. This plant has no negatives of note. The native species is most common in production.
