White Icicle Flowering Currant - Ribes sanguineum 'White Icicle'

The White Icicle Flowering Currant (Ribes sanguineum 'White Icicle') is a deciduous flowering shrub for landscapes, gardens and naturalizing that is native to the Pacific Northwest. This species has a brilliant flower compared to Currants grown for their fruit. Berry is edible, but disgusting. The species can be invasive outside of the native range and many states limit import. This is a naturally occurring culitvar of Ribes sanguineum collected near Victoria on Vancouver Island.
