The Corkscrew Willow (Salix matsudana 'Tortuosa') is a small ornamental tree for landscapes and gardens. This plant is used mainly for the contorted texture and the twigs are a favorite of florists in winter. Without winter water this species is prone to winterkill and can develop lots of dead wood. There are more cultivated varieties of this plant in production.
