Weeping Willow - Salix speciosa 'Pendula'

The Weeping Willow (Salix speciosa 'Pendula') is a large deciduous weeping tree for landscapes and gardens. This can be a very large tree that loves water and is often planted by ponds. The pendulous branches that can hang to the ground or graceful and the new growth provides a brilliant yellow in spring. This plant is extremely prone to winter kill if not planted near a constant source of water. There are more cultivars of the species in production.
