Lavender Cotton - Santolina chamaecyparissus

The Lavender Cotton (Santolina chamaecyparissus) is a small mounding evergreen shrub for landscapes and gardens. This species has a nice gray foliage year round and is tolerant of heat and drought. The flower is a bonus in summer, but the habit and foliage carry this plant. This plant must have well drained soil and does not like irrigation. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
