Umbrella Pine - Sciadopitys verticillata

The Umbrella Pine (Sciadopitys verticillata) is a pyramidal conifer for use as a specimen in gardens and landscapes. This species has a soft, almost artificial looking needle, a waxy green appearance, and a nice tight shape. This is one of the slowest growing conifers and typically the most expensive plant per inch in a nursery. There are more cultivars of this species in production.
