Weeping Sierra Redwood - Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendula'

The Weeping Sierra Redwood (Sequoiadendron giganteum 'Pendula') is a weeping columnar evergreen for landscapes and gardens. The pillar like stucture and weeping branches make this ideal for an accent in tight places. The height may be controlled by removing the leader, which will also cause the plant to get wider. This plant does not do well in the East, and likes the coastal winds from the West. This plant is a cultivated variety of Sequoiadendron giganteum. Photos of the parent species may aid in identification.
